A little over a week away! MEMBERS: be sure to show up yourself on Aug.9 and you can visit the Classic Car Show – there were over 100 cars to see last year. Tell your friends and neighbours about it, bring them with you when you go, make it an outing for the day! People wishing to sell can do so from the trunk of their car, the bed of their truck, from a table or booth or a blanket on the grass. Vendors only pay a $10 donation to the Men’s Shed and many shed members will be donating things to sell or part of their earnings to the group.
Show up early with a $10 donation to set up a table or your vehicle and now you can pre-register for a spot on the CONTACT page of this site. We will contact you.

A small informal meet on Tues. May27 discussed a few items and planned future actions: – We will send a delegation to District Council soon to present our case to obtain use of the former Legion building. It is the most suitable for the needs of this Men’s Shed and will present a sustainable use and service benefit to the entire community -Discussion regarding the possible donation of a reefer truck van, it’s use and where it could be placed if received. -Mentioned during the meet was the need to collect member information about their skill sets and willingness to do volunteer work, how the Men’s Shed will not perform work that competes with local businesses or tradespeople. Also discussed how a MS person skilled in that specific area should attend over work done by others for reasons of safety and liability. -A document needed to complete the setup of a Society bank account was delivered to the Credit Union.
Future meetups and official meetings will be announced beforehand to members and the public. Posters, word of mouth, phone calls and a banner on the landing page of this website will announce any events.
